Beatie Wolfe
Artist, Innovator, Technologist

Blessed with a voice that possesses the husky sweetness of Stevie Nicks and earthy tones of Nina Simone and hooky rhythmic guitar which fuses folk with 90s grunge, Beatie Wolfe is a singer songwriter hailed as the definition of a 21st-century artist with a truly classic sound. Described by GQ as “mesmerizing melodies that envelop the listener” and by Monocle as “expertly played, beautifully sung chamber pop,” Beatie Wolfe’s music pulls from the brooding poeticism of Leonard Cohen and Elliott Smith and occasionally veers into Americana territory. Wolfe’s live show has been hailed as “the best show we’ve been to all year” (GQ), “so tender and confident” (The Independent) and “a profound delivery of depth and soul” (BBC)

A musical innovator as much as a musician, Beatie Wolfe is at the forefront of pioneering new formats for music, which reunite tangibility, storytelling & ceremony to the album in this digital age. In this vein, Wolfe has released both of her albums as lyric books (believing in lyrics crafted as poetry), as vinyl, as well as a series of world-first designs that bridge the tangible and digital. The most recent of these include: a beautifully printed Album Deck of NFC-cards and a Musical Jacket, designed by the Savile Row tailor who dressed Bowie, Jagger and Hendrix in the 60s. Beatie Wolfe is also co-founder of a “profound” (The Times) new research project looking at the power of music for people living with dementia.

Lauren Bennett

Lauren is now embarking on a new journey, making her own music. She has been working with several talented musicians including her brother, Ryan Bennett. Ryan is a young musical genius to say the least and Lauren’s the secret weapon. After years, apart, Lauren and Ryan reunited last year over their love and passion for music. Both writing their own music, telling their own stories, one day they started jamming together and melodies began to form, stories were created and songs were formed. Both grew up listening to all different styles of music from Ella Fitzgerald to Johnny Cash to The Rolling Stones. With Ryan’s guitar skills, ability to play pretty much any instrument and his technical musical background combined with Lauren’s vocals, drive, passion, experience and natural songwriting skills mix that with their British fuck-it mentality for doing what they are “supposed to do” you get a beautifully rare and exciting sound. The siblings knew they had something special.  After 1 year of working together on their sound, trying different sounds and different ideas they found that country/folk and rock came to the forefront and become what felt right for The Band Bennett. Since then Lauren hasn’t stopped working on her album, producing and recording with real musicians, playing real instruments. BENNETT are inspired by bands today such as The Lumineers, Florence and the Machine, Mumford & Sons and Alabama Shakes.
